  Wesley Clark for President

Wesley Clark, the former General, was on Meet the Press today. After discussing the situation in Iraq, Tim Russert was badgering him about the possibility that Clark may be exploring a bid for the next presidency. More so, he seemed inclined to run as a democrat.

Well, so I don't know any of his opinions on the economy, conservation, liberal etc., but this sounded like pretty good news to me. I did some googling and found this article on Slate. Apparently, he is a Rhodes Scholar from Arkansas, just like Clinton. Seems I can now stop pinning all the hopes on Howard Dean, the democratic governor from Vermont that had already announced his candidacy.

Maybe Gore dropped out for a good reason. I don't think he'd have won the nomination over Clark.

I too am all excited about General Clark and have been for a long time. I too have been for Howard Dean and will continue to be so...if Clark doesn't run. I would be happy with either one of them as our Democratic team. At first I liked Dean/Clark because my allegiance had always been for Dean (as a Vermonter, I have voted for him for years)and I didn't know enough about Clark. Now I have learned more about him and I think a Clark/Dean ticket is a real WINNER. A dream team! A no brainier! Literally...what an intelligent, articulate, forceful and well rounded team they would make. A General and a Doctor...how do you beat that? There is NO way they couldn't win... unless the Bush regime lied about them (like they did McCain) or because some of the Democratic database was purged (like they did in FL) or the voting machines were rigged (like they probably were in 2002) or the media turn on them (like they did Gore). In other words, there is no honest way a Clark/Dean team could loose...Think about it...they have everything they need to beat the Bush cabol which will get their clocks cleaned. I have never been so excited or confident of a political election. Now...if Clark runs...I sure hope he asks Dean to be his running mate. If Clark/Dean wins...the whole WORLD will REJOYCE! If Bush/Cheney/Rove/Perle/Rumsfeld/wolfowitz/Ashcroftteam wins...the whole WORLD will truly MOURN!

I am and have been for some time now greatly impressed with Gen. Clark. I think he is the only hope of the Democratic Party to beat "the shrub". I do so hope he will throw his hat in the ring.

Saw General Clark on "Meet The Press" this morning. To say I'm impressed is an understatement. I'm hoping the the Gen. heeds our pleas, and runs for president. I was leaning towards Sen. Kerry until today. With soul searching, and afterthought, the only man able to defeat GWB is Wesley Clark

It seems this entry comes up when doing a google search for "wesley clark president". Be sure to see today's entry (June, not February) about his more recent appearance on Meet the Press.

I too saw the June 15 Wesley Clark interview on "Meet the Press", & I was very much impressed. It is a sad commentary on where we are as a country if 2 such bright, articulate men like Howard Dean & Wesley Clark have little chance in the presidential sweepstakes. And, at the risk of being unduly naive, I also think this would be a dream ticket. Can Bush be beaten in '04? For sure, but only if the Democrats get their act together & support a candidate who stands for something positive that the average voter can understand & relate to.

I was pretty much ready to just pack it up and head off to Canada before I started reading about General Clark.

If only ... but I'm scared to really consider him winning because I don't want to get my hopes up.

I don't know how to describe it, really. He just inspires me. I know he'll never read it, but I wrote an open letter getting it all off my chest anyway.

Greetings from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
AMERICA...Your ONLY hope of beating the Bush/Cheney nightmare is the Dean/Clark or Clark/Dean ticket. The rest of those wimpy Dukakis/Mondale clones better drop out soon for the sake of the whole country. For more info on the Bush nightmare go to www.fromthewilderness.com
