Cornered

I hear a lot of people that say Sadaam is hopelessly optimistic. So surrender or retreat are probably not options. That probably means some pretty horrific battle scenarios: last stand, hail mary, pull out all the stops, use the BIG firecracker, doomsday stuff. On the other hand, I heard someone on NPR today insist that Sadaam would try to "disappear," blend in with the locals, and run a shadow government of guerilla disruption to make occupation forces' lives miserable. hmmm...
